Principals Report:

The budget process has begun.  The elementary schools will present to the Board of Education on Tuesday, January 19th.  This year will be tough.  As a district we need to cut $2 million from the budget.  Final budget comes out in May.  Nancy Sullivan said we may be able to use some of our supermarket points to purchase things that are not covered in budget.

President’s Report

Mrs. Pleviak called Nancy Sullivan to inform her of “Jump Rope for Heart” which will be held on February 3rd in the school gym; snow date is the following Wednesday, February 10th.  Sue Bassick volunteered to help coordinate delivery of oranges and graham crackers for the jumpers!  Thank you Sue!!!

The PTO is looking to purchase Discount Fundraiser Cards.  The cost to you will be $5.00.  When the card is used for local businesses that participate, we receive 50% of the proceeds.  We are hoping to have the cards in time for the Spring Book Fair.

To the Center Road School Community,

On January 24th, a fundraiser was held to help a Northeast School family who lost their son in November. Through your generous donations of desserts, financial donations and time at the event, we were able to truly make a difference  It is comforting to know that we live in such a community that comes together when needed and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
