School Carnival

Fun filled activities, games, raffle baskets, prizes and food for the whole family!
Date: Saturday March 4th, 2017 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM / Center Road School

We set up games all along the main floor classrooms of the building with activities in the gym, cafeteria and both bridges. The cafeteria will have a bake sale and the kitchen will serve hot food for lunch.

Classroom Basket Themes – Each classroom is assigned a themed basket these baskets are raffled at the end of the fair. Please consider sending in theme-based donations and/or money for teachers/room parents to purchase theme items. The kids love looking at their classroom basket and seeing which one is the best, biggest or favorite. All donations and items for the themed gift baskets need to be brought in by Friday, February 24th. The Raffle Basket Committee will be assembling the gift baskets.

What is Loop the Can? – We are in need of donations for “Loop the Can” game for our school Carnival. This is a game where you are given rings to toss over food items. We rely on donations to make this game possible! There is a box labeled Loop the Can in the front hallway. Loopable items include but are not limited to box juices, pudding, cans of cookies, soda, fruit roll up, Pringles, small packages of crackers etc. The Kids LOVE this game!!

The Cake Walk – This is a musical chair game played in the teachers lounge where the winner walks away with a beautiful cake! Parents donate the cakes or we have volunteers (some of them with no children in the school) who contribute each year. Even a frosted dish of brownies with sprinkles is great!! If you’d like to bake something, please drop off your donation on Friday, March 3rd or bring to the school any time after 8:30 am on Saturday, March 4th. Items can include cookies, brownies, donuts, pastries, cake pops, bars, breads, etc. We only ask that you label anything that has NUTS in it or NUT PRODUCTS. Prizes – Kids get star tickets from the games they win and turn them in for prizes located in the library.

Volunteers – Lastly, our fair always needs LOTS of parent and teacher volunteers to run the games, prizes, raffles, ticket sales, kitchen or baking items like a cake! We are using SignUp for parents to volunteer for the event, help set up on March 3rd, and/or clean up on March 4th. Use this link, http://signup.com/go/pm3NXa to volunteer to help.
